Day 7: Pescetarian Diet

I seemed to have missed a few days in posting about my 14 day pescetarian diet venture. But never fear, I haven’t caved yet!

Actually, I’m feeling pretty good. It’s only been a week, but I actually feel healthier. When I attempted the vegetarian diet back in my high school days through my second year of college, it seemed more difficult to stick to the diet. But, I’ve found it much easier this time around. Maybe because I have more willpower with age (ha!), but it’s more likely thanks to my improved cooking skills (ha!).

Today, I made a soup that I haven’t made in years – the infamous cabbage soup – of the Cabbage Soup Diet. Uh no, I’m not going through that diet again.  You do lose weight, but it’s mostly water weight and the diet isn’t exactly healthy for you, because you’re essentially starving yourself for a few days.

This time, I made it so that I have easy access to healthy soup for the whole week (I’m eating regular meals in addition to the soup). And I think the soup is quite yummy. This is the recipe that I used.  I’ve read reviews on the soup saying that it’s not the best tasting thing in the world (uhm, gross). But I think the secret is to add V8 juice, makes the soup much better.
