How to Cut a Pineapple

15 Jul, 2010 Melissa Crane Food,How To

If you’re like me – the thought of cutting a pineapple is a bit daunting. It’s easier just to pay more and buy the pre-cut, packaged ones in the produce area. But, cutting a fresh pineapple is actually not as difficult as it may seem.

Cut off top and bottom of the pineapple with a sharp knife.

Stand the pineapple on its bottom and carefully cut the skin off of the sides in strips. Then set the pineapple on its side and cut it into slices – as thick or thin as you prefer.

When the pineapple is cut into slices, cut the middle out of each slice with a small knife. The middle is usually too hard and tough to be eaten.

Done! Enjoy!
