This afternoon, Esther (of Kangaroo Conservaton Center.

I wasn’t exactly sure that to expect, but it turned out to be quite the fun day. To start off with, it was a beautiful fall day so walking around outside was lovely. When we first arrived at the kangaroo center, we hopped on a Tram which took us around the farm and a narrator taught us a little about the different types of kangaroos, joeys and other fun facts.

After the tram ride, we took a stroll around the grounds and took some photos of all the Australasian animals. Australasia refers to the region that includes Australia as well as the southeastern portion of Asia, particularly the islands between Australia and Asia.

I would like to thank these three kangaroos for posing so lovely for me.

<img

Here she is with Esther:

<img

But, I will say… the drive was well worth it. When we arrived, we each got a 1 gallon bucket to collect our berries in (that’s a whole lot of strawberries, y’all).

It was so much fun wandering up and down our row of strawberry plants, just plucking away at all of the red, ripe berries… and also having a taste or two… or ten… yum!

<img
